Errors on GolfersLTD

Please note. You MUST put your initials in the area code block or we won't be able to get an accurate count of your entries when we're done. Yes, the system keeps a number but if we need to reset this we will lose all data.

BIG DEAL. You can't just select Golf as the Category. You MUST select a sub category under Golf. When something can't be accurately categorized put it under miscellaneous.

Golfers LTD Instructions

1. Just a heads up before you begin. This may not be as easy as it first appears. A good number of listings I'm running into do not have websites. The up side is that is an oppurtunity for a sale :)
2. Go to http://www.golfersltd.com/ and open a state of your choosing from the drop down list.
3. Example. If you were updating websites in California you would open this page http://www.golfersltd.com/golf_courses/?catagory=&location=5
4. Open your Members Login page in a new browser tab and login.
5. Open a third tab and go to Google.com
6. Do a search in your Members area for the first company name that appears on the first page of http://www.golfersltd.com/golf_courses/?catagory=&location=5 which would be 10th Green Inn Click on the listing that comes up so you see the edit listing screen.
7. Flip to Google and find the company name by pasting it into the search bar. In this example you would paste in 10th Green Inn. If it doesn't come up easily try adding the word Golf or other items from the description like the state or phone number.
8. Open the Golf site and paste into GolfersLTD/Members area the web address which must start with http://www/ (if you just use www. it will not create a link in our database).
9. Find a good description if you can. Sometimes this is impossible. Often a good description is on the About page if the website has an About page. Do not copy and paste Google descriptions unless it is absolutely needed. Just paste or add the description under the text already in the description block.
10. DO NOT paste in special characters like apostraphe's in the description block.
11. Put your initials in the FIRST block of the Phone Number where the area code would go so we can count up how many you've entered at the end of your internship.
12. Click Update Listing and repeat.

I know this is "Grunt work" but it is needed in all businesses and there will be recognition and rewards for a job well done.
